Handmade is a Calgary based Canadian band who catch your ear with an array of styles: Elements or RnB, groovy disco, layered on top of an indie alternative foundation are combined to create hook filled homegrown pop music. Drawing inspiration from future soul & RnB artists like, Hiatus Kaiyoteand and Jordan Rakei; native Calgary acts  like Sweet Barry Wine; and the alternative and experimental instrumentation of Grizzly Bear, and Royal Canoe, Handmade’s unique blend of sound is meant to get listeners dancing.

Since forming in 2018 and rotating personnel through friends made at home in Calgary, Handmade has settled into a strong roster of 5 individuals: Connor Mead (Guitar) and Elicia Bravo (Keyboards) serve as the linchpin of the band as principal songwriters and vocalists. They’re supported by dedicated rhythm section and songwriting collaborators: Wil Moralda (Guitar), Bobby Henderson (Bass) and Tomas Lobos (Drums).

After spending the past year writing and recording, Handmade is poised to spend the rest of 2020 releasing new music and showing off a new sound filled with soul while maintaining the emotional sensitivity and care in creativity the band was built on. The first single is “The Way It Feels” produced in house by the band including a music video created with the help of ilm Maker / YouTube creator and original member, Matt Mort. Handmade is excited to follow up “The Way it Feels” with a series of songs meant to keep you dancing for the rest of 2020.
